After being connected to a charger and charging for a minute, it started to charge. The indicator lights on that mean it's charging. Now it's working.

I'm in the same situation and is quite annoying thinking that a Pad that can't see the ad-hoc wlans can't be internet tethered throug bluetooth with all the mobile phones... I keep losing all the cha...
