Diving into my giant blob bed,

heights,

People that tattoo their name on their arm... just incase they forget it, 

turning my room into a pretty night sky,

making new friends,

running around in silly costumes,

my color coded closet, 

frolicking through the kiddie playground,

My dad always says that I don't come home enough so last Christmas I made him a life size Katie cutout.

She's a great listener, she's always smiling and she's always by your side. Just what my dad wants!

Now I can be home for every family dinner,

constantly confuse my spanish speaking grandmother,

and laugh at all my dad's jokes!

even the bad ones ;)

My day may have started like this...

but it ended like this.

Yeaaaah Boi!

My earphones broke the other day. Instead of just throwing them out, I tried to think of what else I could do with them and a cute idea popped in my head!

 I took a little toy and drilled a hole in it. Then I cut off the jack to the earphones and super glued it in the toy.

Then I plugged the little guy into my phone!

Now I have a cute Poo mascot to go with my wallpaper reminding me to get crap done!

Five dollars?! I couldn't believe the deal I was getting! 


 I was able to bring back a flood of happy childhood memories that were locked up in a room inside my head… 

and it only cost me five dollars to buy the key.

It's a very simple equation...  Bad Day + Balloons = Happiness!

Once you blow up a crazy amount of balloons you can...

let them loose on your bed and dance,

Confuse your cat,

Tie them all together and take a walk through the park looking like a giant balloon bouquet with legs,

         and have the most colorful apartment on the block!

It may have seemed like I fell off the face of the earth...which I kind of did for a while. But good news! I'm back and I brought a bunch of ridiculous cat pictures with me!

Yay, bunny cat!

Step 1- Find some pretty white flowers.
 ( carnations work best! )

Step 2- With a sharp knife and a superhuman steady hand, split the end of the flower's stem into four sections and put each section in a different cup of colored water.

Step 3- Wait and wait with your Moo cat...

And Bam!

Pow!

Boom!

You've just made some awesome rainbow flowers.

Super fun news! I was contacted by Tampax to be part of their new campaign about stand out girls.

 They wanted to feature three creative, unique, real women with their art. A street artist, yarn bomber, and balloon artist. It's the first time they've ever used real women in their ads instead of models!

I loved the whole idea of the campaign and was excited to be a part of it. 

The glowing sky after fireworks,

Mailing my dad embarrasing letters,

Jumping into a brand new, not yet peed in pool,

Playing along with performers in Times Square,

Fun nails,

Revealing secrets,

Riding around the city on bike pegs,

Collecting cute paint chip names such as Sweet Pea, Freckles, Soft Chinchilla, Bunny Nose Pink, and Baby Dreams...

Red hair and pretty tattoos,

Using model toilets in Home Depot instead of the real ones,

And getting Moo a haircut and finding out that the beginning of his tail is shaped like a heart!

My friend Tyler was shooting a video for a song on his new album called Memories of Home.

He asked me to be his spacewife in the video and I was flattered! 

Unfortunately, I learned that it's not as easy as I thought.

Your spaceman is a million miles away and all you can do to pass the time is roll around on the beach in agony until he gets back.

Gigantic Easter bonnets,

building a little city for Moo to rule over,

my friend Victoria's amazing jello molds ( she just came out with a fun new book! )

a bright hello,

folding paper hearts on the subway and leaving them for someone to find,

name silly straws,

fantastic advice,

hanging out with clowns,

Splatter painting furniture just because I'm in the mood to make a mess,

and then finding out that my palm print is in the shape of a heart!

The other day I had a whole bunch of toys,

and a whole lot of plastic eggs laying around,

and according to my calculations... Toys + Plastic Eggs = Easter Eggs!

So I tied them with string, attached a little note, and hung them around my neighborhood for kids to find. 

Why?

Because it's the one magical day of the year that eggs are filled with toys instead of yolk, 

and kids who hate eating eggs can gleefully ask their mom for seconds.

I've always felt like there was something wrong with this wall...

It's too white!

I went to a paint store but had a really hard time choosing a color....so I made it easy and just picked them all!

Problem solved!

Mmmmm cozy and colorful.

Last Wednesday was my 25th birthday and I really wanted to celebrate by making something pretty for my block.

In front of my building there's this little square of dirt and weeds that has been there forever.

In a city where almost everything is made of concrete, why have a tiny piece of land filled with weeds when we can have a tiny piece of land filled with flowers?!

So I planned a little night gardening party and had all the bare necessities... friends, flowers, gardening tools,

fun gloves, fancy shoes,

and long balloons to make silly balloon animals.
( Dave is an Anglerfish, can't you tell? )

It may be a small garden, but it adds color to my block and makes my neighbors smile...

and that's all I really wanted for my birthday.

It's always changing ;)

for someone very special.

And to all those feeling the same way,

Remember you are loved.

When I was younger, I loved melting crayons with my dad into different shapes.

So I searched around my apartment for neglected crayons to melt down into a fun shape so that I would want to use them more!

I took a silicone mold and began melting different colored crayons together...

to make the most epic crayon ever!

I was so excited to try it out that I covered my floor with a roll of giant paper so that I can doodle all over.

The most colorful hello ever!

79 pieces,

and over 3 hours later,

my wonderfully gigantic dollhouse was done!
Why build a dollhouse you ask?

Because Moo and I have grown tired of plain old shelves,

and a dollhouse is pretty much a giant shelf...except a lot more colorful and fun!

Moo agrees.

Underwear parties,

Charlie, the newest addition to my family,

mailing kisses,

really, really, tall people,

looking at people, looking at art,

the children's section of the book store,

adorable couples,

finding excuses to buy rainbow cookies... everyday,

pinwheels for heads,

group hugs,

and me and Moo... in cartoon form!

I rarely use pencils anymore so I thought I'd find a new use for them.

So I carved the erasers into the shape of a heart,

Dipped it in paint and used it as a stamp to make this fun print.

It's raining love! and I just love dancing in the rain...
