Marvel and DC Renew Crossovers 19 Oct 10:58 AM (yesterday, 10:58 am)

It all starts with Superman VS The Amazing Spider-Man facsimile edition in January. In February we get Superman and Spider-Man, the sequel. Both reprinted in full size Treasury Editions. Pretty damned cool.

https://www.dc.com/blog/2025-10-01/d...e-through-2026

https://13thdimension.com/superman-v...tions-in-2026/

Then in the spring we get Superman/Spider-Man, one new crossover from Marvel, and another from DC.

This should be fun.

Worst Criterion Collection cover art? (please provide pic) 19 Oct 4:53 AM (yesterday, 4:53 am)

There are many Criterion releases that just don't look good, and this one prompted this thread. They sometimes go so artsy that it just doesn't look too good. I know there are quite a few.

So, what Criterion releases do you think has the worst cover art?

Primate (2026, D: Johannes Roberts) -- Killer Chimpanzee horror movie 17 Oct 10:34 PM (2 days ago)

In PRIMATE, a group of friends' tropical vacation turns into a terrifying, primal tale of horror and survival.

This was released at a horror film festival last month. Cody Leach, a horror movie YouTuber, loved it. He says it's gory as hell. This a theatrical release from Paramount. Not something headed to Screambox

Walter Hamada, who used to run DC Films, now runs Paramount's horror division is the main Producer.

Have you ever watched an entire "season" of TV in 1 night/day? 17 Oct 9:27 AM (3 days ago)

Question is in the title?

Have you? or is it simply not possible in your home with distractions and other things to do like work.

I'm going to make the poll multiple picks because I'm sure some of you have done "seasons" that are both short and long.

and I'm going to say 6 episodes needs to be the minimum here to be considered a "season" of TV.

I've done 8, 10 and very rarely 13. But, that's it.

When Cobra Kai was still on and in it's earlier seasons, I watched an entire season in like 7-8 hours when I was off from work.

But, I have never done all-nighters and watch an entire season until the sun came up. I just don't have the energy to do that.

My sister was insane enough to watch an entire full 22 episode season of Criminal Minds in 1 day and has stayed up until 3 or 4am.

Four-time Academy Award nominee Ethan Hawke returns to the most sinister role of his career as The Grabber seeks vengeance on Finn (Mason Thames) from beyond the grave by menacing Finns younger sister, Gwen (Madeleine McGraw).

The Holiday TV Movies discussion thread (Hallmark, Lifetime, UpTV, GAC, Netflix, Freeform and more) 14 Oct 10:33 AM (6 days ago)

This thread can cover Thanksgiving, Christmas, New Years or whatever.

Netflix just dropped the trailer for their new Christmas movie "A Marry Ex-Mas" that stars Alicia Silverstone, Melissa Joan Hart and Oliver Hudson. Comes out November 12th

You Tube

I saw an early home test screening for this back in the summer and had to do a survey.

Since the trailer is out, I'm going to say it's pretty terrible. And thankfully it was under 90 minutes.

Edit:

I know you all have gotten so used to that Hallmark Countdown to Christmas thread, but I thought a broader thread that covers more holiday season movies might be better. And more networks and streamers.

I mean after all, Hallmark isn't the only network that televises holiday movies.

2025 Fall Premiere Dates 14 Oct 10:12 AM (6 days ago)

Let met ask all of you who read TV Talk semi-regularly. Do any of you still find a premiere date thread like this still useful? Because 1, there is too many damn shows to watch and try to follow. 2, Most here don't seem to watch live TV or record shows anymore. So do premiere dates even matter anymore? Jadzia used to do these lists all the time before she left this forum and before streaming completely overwhelmed TV. I tried to pick up some of the slack. But, there is too many things to watch and too many streamers that dates don't really seem to matter anymore. And because there is way too much to watch, network TV seems much less relevant as far as compelling discussion goes. I don't know. Just curious if there is even a need for this kind of thread anymore.

I dont know if this forum really follows R&B. I remember DAngelo from, the 1990s. Brown sugar was a big hit back in the day. Sad he died so young. Apparently he was in hospice with pancreatic cancer. He kind of fell off after since personal and legal troubles. He was considered a innovative artist for the genre.

I opted to put this in TV Talk as opposed to Hardware, because no one reads that forum and two, this was probably for many of you how you got into watching so much television.
