We launched a new wholesale website for Kanga Care last month to streamline their process even more. They were working with two different shopping carts to accommodate the retail and wholesale side of their business, but that gets a little hairy and turns into a royal pain after a while.
Training employees on two systems that are constantly changing and before you know it, things aren’t getting updated as they need to be. So, that has to change! And it has.
Wholesale and retail on the same cart.
Since this is a wholesale website, you would need to have an account to gain access to the inside. For that reason, we won’t be posting images of the inside contents of their website, however, if you go to their retail site, we’ve designed the wholesale to go hand in hand with their retail branding. Your wholesale and retail site should look like they belong together, but have enough difference that your customers do not get confused when shopping.
Confused customers = less sales
Easy is best. The harder you make things on your website, the more calls you’ll need to field and less sales that will come in. No thank you!
Have a business you need to take online – or just get a refresher for your current website? You’ll need the right e-commerce platform and more. Contact us and we can help you set up your wholesale or retail business on a shopping cart that fits your needs.

A little history…. I grew up in Southern Illinois and Southeast Missouri. Literally just right “across the bridge” from one another. We lived in a little town in Illinois that didn’t have much employment or, for the matter, a grocery store or a gas station. So we shopped in Missouri and lived in Illinois. Not really fancy, to say the least. We didn’t have much of anything growing up but I do believe that builds character so I’m not mad about that at all.
When I was younger my family moved to West Palm Beach, FL and it was like…. oh man…. it was like WOW! It was AWESOME! I always loved it and really enjoyed each and every day there. I remember having a pool party on my birthday, which is November 28th, so that was super cool. Where we moved from, it’s freezing in late November so this was quite the change! One that I never wanted to end.
I Love. Love. Love. Florida!
Unfortunately my family decided to move back to the pits of hell, oh my, I mean back to the little hick town we were from, and ended all of my sunny Florida dreams.
It’s ok though, I had to come back here to have my children and meet my gorgeous husband. I had my share of bad relationships, bumps and bruises in the ole’ personal life (who hasn’t), but finally, finally, I have what I’ve always wanted: a wonderful husband that loves the Lord (this is so important kids) :: some of the cutest, smartest kids in the world (8 kiddos ranging from 26-3 whoa) :: and a cute little puppy (Asia, our french bulldog).
But wait, we’re still here in a place where none of us want to be. Well…. NOT FOR LONG! We’re out of here folks!
My son, Logan, is going to college in Florida this fall on a football scholarship (insert super proud mama moment also mama that will be in the fetal position when he leaves) and the rest of our family will be moving down to the Tampa Bay area. This all happens at the end of May once Logan graduates from high school. We do have a couple of family members that will come later on, my daughter when she finishes her RN (go Chels!) with my granddaughter (yes I’m a grandma but I do NOT look like it lol – London is 5, just 2 years older than my youngest child) and fingers crossed my mother, brother and mother-in-law follow in the next year.
I could not be more excited for this move!
So with all of this being said, we will be closed for design from May 28th to June 2 while we transition to our new paradise. If you’re an existing client, no worries! Dragos will still be around to handle all issues that may arise – if you need help with your stores / sites or anything like that. This is only design related jobs that will be paused for a little under a week.
If you believe you will need design tasks done during this time, please submit requests a little earlier than usual and I’ll take care of you! I know this is a struggle for some of my clients, as they wait until the last minute (I feel you…. I feel you… I have the same problem lol) but we’ll get there!! If I have to stay up the night before, you know I will.

Happy International Women’s Day to all of you ladies out there! March 8th always makes me think of all of the wonderful women I’ve worked with over the years. There have been a LOT, especially since we have been so prominent in the baby industry for so many years.
I’d like to take a few minutes and just recognize some of the amazing women that I work with on a daily basis and have for many, many years. When I think about how many years I feel like, no way can it be that long because we are NOT that old!! lol.
These ladies are amazing why??? Because not only are they wives, mothers (some to several kids – up to NINE as a matter of fact) but also because they run their business like it’s the only thing they do! I’m not trying to discount the guys here but these women that juggle their home, kids AND a thriving business, well, they’re just a different breed and I’m so so honored to work with these ladies. They are inspiring, fierce and on a mission to change things and be role models to their beautiful children. Talent ooooooozes from them. They are kind, funny and just all around awesome people to surround yourself with – beautiful on the inside and out! These are not just clients to me, they are friends…. family.
These ladies inspire ME on the daily!
Ok here it goes, and I’ll order them in alphabetical order since I cannot possibly put them in order of “love” because I love them all so much.

Annie Cote – AMP Diapers & CuddlyWrap
Annie is the creator of AMP Diapers, PeachyBaby and owner of CuddlyWrap in Winnipeg, Canada. Superwoman would probably be an understatement for Annie. She just birthed her ninth baby last week, yes, you read that right!! An amazing woman and passionate mother. She has nine beautiful children, seven of which are at home, and runs the three businesses I listed above… PLUS she is also an amazing photographer. I’ve always enjoyed working with Annie. She’s a very genuine and honest person that has a huge heart. I’m always amazed by how well put together she is, even with the challenges of being there for family and running a warehouse / storefront in Winnipeg, AMP Diaper Store. I’ve always been in awe of Annie and am so thankful to work with someone so sweet.

Julie Ekstrom – Kanga Care
Julie is the creator of Kanga Care, Rumparooz, Lil Joey, EcoPosh and Lil Learnerz cloth diapering products in Golden, Colorado. She is mama to five super cute kids that are full of energy. I really admire Julie for the way she juggles LIFE, the kids, her business and stays present online for her customers. She connects with them like no other I’ve ever seen. With love. She’s a talented graphic designer and creates all of the fun prints that appear on the Rumparooz and Lil Joey diapers. I’ve always loved working with Julie for many reasons. We have the same style and vibe so it’s really easy to mesh with her. We always joke and say she is my twin, because really, she is! Maybe not by birth but if I’m thinking it, she is thinking it! I swear we live the same life on the daily. Julie is very kind, loving and so so much fun.

Kelly Wels – CBD Serenity Store
Kelly sets the bar for being the ultimate entrepreneur. Back “in the day” she built one of the most successful and well known cloth diapering websites, Kelly’s Closet. If you were in the cloth diapering industry or shopping for cloth diapers, you knew who Kelly was! She’s been very influential in the industry and known as the go-to source for information on the topic. Kelly is also the author of Changing Diapers, another project that we worked with her on. She sold her diaper business some time ago and has since opened up CBD Serenity Store. We can’t wait to watch her explode in this industry. If anyone can do it, she can!! Every business she touches turns into a success! Kelly is mama to four wonderful children and is based in South Paris, Maine. I’ve always said, Kelly is on another level business wise. She knows what it takes to be successful and has no problem working for it! What a great person to work with and be inspired by!

Shellie Gardner – Christmas Light Source
Shellie is the owner of Christmas Light Source in Fort Worth, Texas. She is a former engineer so her mind is very technical and always going! I can relate to that so much and am very much the same. Her and I together can be interesting sometimes lol, we bounce all over the place with our conversations but know exactly where we are and can get the job done, and well. She’s so fun to work with and has so many ideas. We’re getting ready to embark on a huge project together and I’m honored she chose me to do it. Shellie is mama to 2 fun boys and she’s an absolute genius. A kind soul and super personable. She recently went to bible college so has been juggling that, her business and her home life. Amazing! Shellie is super fun to work with and if you’ve never done it, check out some of her cooking videos. You’ll be sure to laugh as you learn! She’s hilarious.
So today, I’m just so blessed to be able to work with these amazing women and even more. There are other women I could note, but today, I just listed the ones I work with on a daily basis. Soooo… if you’re not on here and we used to work together a lot more – I probably miss you.
Happy International Women’s Day ladies. I think the world of you all!

We’re so excited to release a project we’ve been working on for a few months now. Kanga Care is live on a brand new platform and boasting a super clean & fresh new look! www.kangacare.com
So what did we do here exactly? Well we started with a fresh, new look for 2021. Put them on a shiny, even fancy, e-commerce platform, Shopify. Gave them a bunch of cool apps to make their customers have a wonderful shopping experience and cleaned up all of the products, descriptions and such that were on the old site. OH, and we gave them a cool new reward program setup. Is that it? Well, no, but that’s some of it!
We’ve been working with Kanga Care for many years and know exactly what they need to succeed. Not just clients, but personal friends (and kinda more than that actually – Julie, the CEO, is like my un-birthed twin lol). It helps to have someone you’re working with that just “gets you”. We take pride in our work but it’s always something more than a job when it’s with people you know and love.
One other thing I absolutely LOVE about working with Kanga Care is their eye for design and good photographs.
I’m here to tell you, photos sell!
You want to have a great online business?? Make sure you have great product & lifestyle photos to sell what you’re listing on your site. I’ve said it before, I’ll say it again… no one wants to buy your super cool product that you have laying on your kitchen table, propped up on a juice bottle. Ummm… no! Don’t do it!
Aside from that, of course you need the right e-commerce platform and more but presentation is key. Not many people actually read these days (in fact I’ll be surprised if you made it this far in my post!) so be sure you look “amazing” online and you’ll do great things!
Now go…. visit the new KangaCare.com site and oooo and ahhh over it – then go ahead and buy something from these wonderful people.

We’ve been working with the marketing manager at Guaranteed Returns for many, many years. While she’s been employed by GRx as well as her own business that she built from the ground up. We love working with Donna and her team at GRx daily. I should say nightly as well, because they seem to work around the clock! Whew! This actually works well for us because our hours tend to be “all day” as well so whatever works right?!
Here’s what the website looked like before we came in with the redesign…

Here’s what the website looked like after the redesign…

Besides the home page redesign, we did a makeover on the inner pages of the website and structure as well. Some of this is still on-going at the current time.
When you want to do a makeover on your website, don’t get overwhelmed if you have a TON of content and pages – just take it step by step. Start with the core design (the template or “frame” of the website) with a new look – apply that to the website and work on the inner pages as you go along. You’ll most likely find that once you start the redesign process, there will be more that you’ll want to change than you originally anticipated, and that’s fine! Just take it piece by piece and get it all right!

This daycare in New York was in need of a major update. Their site was pretty outdated and was something that they could not manage on their own. The Kiddie Care staff hired us to give them a fresh new look on a content management system that they could utilize to make changes on their own.

Their goal was something that looked more up to date, modern, of course with a flare of cuteness since this is for small children. We used a few pictures of their facility throughout the site as well as some stock photography to keep the site looking professional. Ten custom pages were designed within the website and are fully manageable by the client.

Visit their website for a live preview at www.kiddiecareelc.com

Do you ever say, I’m going to start traveling more and then a year goes by and you went nowhere? Life… amiright? Well this year we’re making a change, and I have to give a big THANK YOU to my awesome husband, Terrance. He has booked a romantic cruise for the two of us to the Bahamas and we’ll be heading out in just under a month! We NEED this – time alone, yes, please!!
Hallelujah! I LOVE the beach!
You guys, I am SO stinkin’ excited for this! My husband and I have not had over 2 hours away from our little one since she was born (she just turned two years old yesterday **ugly cry**, and now we’re going for 3-4 days. Pray for us and my baby’s separation experience. Who are we kidding – and MINE! lol
Although we will be gone over the weekend and Monday, Dragos will be here and ready for any situations you may have, outside of design requests. All design requests will be handled when I’m back in the office on February 11th.
So the dates that I’ll be unavailable are: Feb. 7-10.

Just a side note here, I appreciate all of our loyal clients, most of which whom have become friends, and want to say thank you for making things like this possible. I’m blessed to be able to stay home with my children and it’s all because of YOU! So thank you. xoxo

Well, first and foremost, your customers are on social media. Many of them are on social media for several hours each day.
70% of people in the USA have at least one social media profile.
That number is increasing daily of course. Since pretty much the majority is on social media, then this is the perfect place to put your product or service in front of them.
What’s even better? Most of the time, it’s absolutely FREE to do so! You may have to hire a social media marketing professional (like US!) if you’re really not sure what you’re doing, but the marketing process itself will cost you ZERO!
Free advertising? Yes, please!
Guess what else social media marketing could help improve?? Your search engine rankings. Who doesn’t need that?? Sign me up!
The more people are talking about your product / service, the better! Whether that be on social media networks, blogs or other websites. The more your name is mentioned, the more your product is “out there”.
But HOW do I market my “stuff” on social media?
If you don’t know exactly what to do to market your product or service on social media, no worries, we are here to help you get rolling!
So here’s what we do:
What does it cost? We have a few packages to choose from. We can do more if you wish but the packages will give you a starting point as to what this may cost. If you want us to do more then we’ll bill hourly instead of doing a package type of plan with you.
Ready to get started? Send us an email if you’re unsure of what you need, otherwise, feel free to purchase one of our social media marketing packages.

When you’re dealing with business cards you really should keep things simple. Remember, you’re not writing a novel here, you’re just wanting the other person to CALL, TEXT or EMAIL you, right? You can explain anything you need to on the phone or via email rather than caking it all on your business card and making it look:

Depending on what your company has set up already will depend on what you put on your card. If you have a website then most definitely add the web address. Your website should contain most of the information your business contacts will need to hire you for the service you’re soliciting. In a nutshell you should include the following so you can be contacted:
One of my biggest pet peeves is receiving a business card from someone that has tried to cram every little bit of information on the card that they possibly can. I take one look at it and think, do I really want to read all of this? I just want to call the guy….do I really need to know everything he can do all on one card? I typically get a feeling of being overwhelmed by the card and lay it down – never to be picked up again.
Just remember – keep it simple. Give them the contact info they need and let your website tell them everything they need to know. If you don’t have a website – they probably just need to call you and you can fill them in on everything you can do for them.
