New data from NCES: School Pulse Panel data from the U.S. Outlying Areas, November and December 2024 24 Feb 7:00 PM (8 months ago)

The November 2024 School Pulse Panel (SPP) U.S. Outlying Area data provide information on school meal programs, physical education programming, arts education programming, and National Parks Service education programming, and the December 2024 data provide information on student cell phone policies, presence of artificial intelligence in education, computing and digital literacy, and school facilities during the 2024-25 school year, as reported by school leaders in American Samoa, the Commonwealth of the Northern Mariana Islands, Guam, and the U.S. Virgin Islands. November data were collected from November 12 through November 26, 2024, and December data were collected from December 6 through December 20, 2024

NCES released school year (SY) 2022-23 Common Core of Data (CCD) Dropouts Public- and Restricted-Use Data Files 19 Feb 7:00 PM (8 months ago)

Today, NCES released the 2022–23 Common Core of Data (CCD) Dropouts Public- and Restricted-Use Data Files. The unduplicated number of dropouts are reported at state, district, and school levels for the 12-month period beginning on October 1, 2022 through September 30, 2023. The state- and district-level data are released in both restricted-use (RUD) and public-use (PUB) files, while the school-level data are only released as a RUD file.

New Data on Enrollment, Finance, Employees, and Academic Libraries in Postsecondary Education 6 Jan 7:00 PM (9 months ago)

This provisional set of web tables presents data findings from the Integrated Postsecondary Education Data System (IPEDS) spring 2024 data collection. The spring 2024 collection includes four survey components: Enrollment for fall 2023; Finance for fiscal year 2023; data on employees in postsecondary education for fall 2023; and data for Academic Libraries for fiscal year 2023.

On February 11-13, 2025, the DUC will bring together data users, members of the research community, and policy makers to share research and findings that use NCES’s data sets. Participants will be able to discuss strategies for analysis, data linking, data visualization, and reporting federal statistics.

NCES released SY 2022-23 Common Core of Data (CCD) Graduates/Completers Public-Use and Restricted-Use Data Files 18 Dec 2024 7:00 PM (10 months ago)

Today, the National Center for Education Statistics released the 2022–23 Common Core of Data (CCD) Graduates/Completers Public and Restricted-Use Data Files, a product of the CCD data collection for the 2022–23 school year. The unduplicated number of graduates/completers are reported at state, district, and school levels for the 12-month period from October 1, 2022 through September 30, 2023. The state- and district-level data are released in both Restricted-Use (RUD) and Public-Use (PUB) files, while the school-level data are only released as a RUD file.

Data users requiring the RUD files can apply to use the RUD data files through the Standard Application Process (SAP) portal.
