Mungkin masih cukup banyak orang yang melakukan ripping CD meskipun penjualan CD sendiri sudah menurun. Aplikasi yang sering digunakan adalah Audigrabber. Audiograbber adalah software CD ripping untuk Windows yang memberikan fungsi yang dapat dibandingkan dengan aplikasi favorit lainnya seperti CDex atau BonkEnc. Aplikasi ini dapat digunakan untuk load audio CD secara mudah, mencari dengan seksama informasi pada Freedb sehingga informasi track audio dapat otomatis ditambahkan pada audio track dan melakukan rip musik CD tersebut ke komputer dalam format mp3.

Windows 7 sudah di-launching pada tanggal 22 oktober lalu dan banyak sekali yang sudah menggunakannya saat ini. Untuk itu, postingan kali ini akan berbicara mengenai shortcut keyboard windows 7 yang akan banyak membantu pekerjaan Anda menjadi lebih mudah dan cepat. Mungkin Windows 7 adalah operating system yang bisa dikatakan keyboard-friendly, karena tanpa harus menggunakan mouse, Anda sudah bisa melakukan docking jendela aplikasi, membuka aplikasi favorit Anda dengan cepat, dan masih banyak lagi. Satu yang mesti Anda lakukan adalah mengingat kombinasi tombolnya dan gunakan secara rutin hingga Anda terbiasa dan tidak lagi menggunakan ingatan Anda dalam melakukannya.

Pencarian Start-Menu: Tombol Windows

Memperbesar Tampilan: Windows + (+)
Built-in Magnifier pada Windows 7 memungkinkan Anda untuk melakukan zoom dimanapun letak kursor Anda, cukup tekan tombol “Windows bersamaan dengan tombol +” untuk mengaktifkan magnifier dan memperbesar tampilan menjadi zoom level 200% atau lebih. Semakin banyak Anda menekan tombol “+”, maka zoom akan semakin besar. Anda dapat melakukan zoom out (memperkecil) dengan menekan tombol “Windows + (-)”.

Membuka Settingan Untuk Presentasi: Windows + P
Ini adalah shortcut yang sangat bagus digunakan bagi Anda yang sering melakukan presentasi bisnis atau pekerjaan dengan menggunakan laptop dan proyektor LCD. Dengan tombol “Windows + P” maka akan memunculkan panel pilihan untuk setting monitor. Klik “Duplicate” atau “Projector Only” untuk menampilkan presentasi Anda baik pada laptop dan LCD atau hanya proyektor LCD saja, atau pilihan “Extend” jika Anda ingin menggunakan dua monitor sehingga tampilannya menjadi ekstra besar.

Membuat Folder Baru: Ctrl + Shift + N
Lupakan cara lama untuk membuat folder baru. Pada Windows 7, yang Anda perlukan hanyalah menekan kombinasi tombol Ctrl-Shift-N, hal ini dapat Anda lakukan pada sembarang jendela explorer yang Anda inginkan, juga dapat dilakukan pada desktop. Setelah folder baru muncul, ketikkan namanya lalu akhiri dengan tombol “Enter”.

Kali ini akan membicarakan tentang upgrade OS Blackberry Smartphone. Blackberry adalah gadget yang sangat laris pada saat ini, ada begitu banyak tipe blackberry yang dikeluarkan oleh pihak RIM, dari segi software pun ada begitu banyak yang ditawarkan kepada pihak user/pengguna.

Saya sendiri adalah pengguna Blackberry yang kira-kira sudah sekitar 2 tahun ini memanfaatkannya untuk berinteraksi dengan rekan atau kolega. Namun baru belakangan ini saja Saya meng-upgrade OS Blackberry yang sebelumnya masih menggunakan OS 4.x.x.x. Upgarde OS Blackberry Smarthpone yang Saya miliki sendiri sebenarnya disebabkan oleh keinginan teman Saya untuk meng-upgrade OS Blackberry dia, waktu dia telpon Saya belum pernah sekalipun melakukan upgrade, sehingga Saya sarankan untuk upgrade OS Blackberry miliknya pada counter HP.

Berawal dari hal itu, Saya coba untuk melakukan upgrade OS Blackberry Curve 8520 milik Saya, jadi kalau ada yang minta untuk upgrade Blackberry OS bisa segera Saya lakukan. Ternyata caranya sangat gampang, untuk panduan agar tidak terjadi kesalahan Saya cari di om Google, dan Saya dapatkan panduan langkah per langkah yang cukup baik untuk diikuti, yaitu dari situs Berryindo.com.

Langkah-langkah untuk Upgrade OS Blackberry Smartphone adalah sebagai berikut:
1. Siapkan OS terbaru yang akan diupgrade, blackberry desktop manager, dan laptop atau PC.
2. Download OS dari website Blackberry Firmware atau category Blackberry OS Firmware ke PC Anda. (PENTING: Download OS ke PC, dan instalasi OS melalui PC (Desktop Manager).
3. Setelah Download, klik dua kali file OS tersebut untuk meng-install OS ke PC yang nantinya digunakan untuk upgrade OS Blackberry Smartphone. Setelah itu Restart PC Anda.
4. Hapus file vendor.xml di C > Program Files > Common Files > Research in Motion > AppLoader.
5. Matikan jaringan internet Anda (optional).
6. Aktifkan Blackberry Desktop Manager dan hubungkan Blackberry Anda ke PC atau laptop dengan menggunakan kabel data.
7. Backup data handheld Blackberry ke PC atau laptop dengan Blackberry Desktop Manager.
8. Desktop Manager akan melakukan deteksi otomatis untuk sinkronisasi data, lalu akan melakukan check for updates, dan akan muncul OS versi terbaru, ikuti petunjuk yang muncul. (Kalau tidak terdeteksi, reset lagi PC dan reset desktop manager).
9. Kalau desktop manager masih belum mendeteksi OS terbaru, tutup desktop manager dan masuk ke lokasi hapus vendor.xml, klik loader.exe dan ikuti petunjuk yang muncul.
10. Tunggu benar-benar nyala dan booting sampai dengan home screen, jangan cabut kabel atau menggoyang kabel data.
11. Setelah OS berhasil di-upgrade, Anda harus melakukan setting ulang seperti time, email, dll.

Run a disk scanner
A disk scanner can locate and repair hard disk errors for you. To run a disk scanner, try to restart the computer. Then, select from the following problemss.
If the computer restarted successfully

Option 1: Autochk automatically runs
If the computer restarted successfully, the Autochk disk scanner will automatically run to locate and to repair any hard disk errors.
Option 2: Manually run Chkdsk
If Autochk does not automatically run, you can manually run the Chkdsk disk scanner. To do this, follow these steps:

1. Click Start, click Run, type chkdsk /f /r, and then click OK.
2. At the command prompt, type Y to let the disk scanner run when you restart the computer.
3. Restart the computer.
4. Chkdsk will run.

If the computer did not restart successfully, manually run the Chkdsk disk scanner from the Recovery Console. To do this, follow these steps:

1. Restart the computer.
2. When the Welcome to Setup screen appears, press R to start the Recovery Console.
3. If you have a dual-boot or a multiple-boot computer, select the installation that you need to access.

To determine the possible cause, you must interpret the error message. If both the first and the third parameters are zero, the four parameters are defined as follows:

4. Address of signature on kernel stack

If either the first or the third parameter is not a zero, the following definitions apply:

- 0xC000016A, or STATUS_DISK_OPERATION_FAILED: bad blocks on the hard disk.
- 0xC0000185, or STATUS_IO_DEVICE_ERROR: incorrect termination, or defective cabling of SCSI-based devices, or two devices are trying to use the same IRQ.
